Remove ripoff report

How to remove a rip off report on Google’s first page.

An increasing amount of individuals as well as businesses are being affected by so called ‘consumer complaints sites. What is frustrating and arguably unfair is that these sites offer no opportunity for legitimate individuals and businesses to remove those listings.
Often with these so called ‘consumer complaints sites’, There is often no way of having the listings removed. Even if those allegations against you are not accurate, the post will not be deleted by the administrators of those URL’s.
Seeing a negative listing about you right there on the first page of Google is like being punched in the stomach. Most of the time you will not have a clue as to who posted this negative listing.Could this be an actual customer? Was it a person who works for you? Our natural instinct is to fight back and respond to these allegations on those forums. Most of the time a response is the worst thing you can do.  Here is why:
There have been numerous attempts made to force these companies to take down negative listings or face legal action. In most cases this approach will fail since the complaints board sites claim they are not responsible for the content that is being published on their site by 3rd party users.

By replying to the negative listing you actually promote the negative listing. Search Engines like Yahoo look at this increased activity as in important indicator that this URL might be of interest and list the listing higher on search engines. Google in particular considers this posting as a sign that there is an interest in this article. In addition to that chances are that the other party will reply to your comments, which increases the amount of comments and activity even further.

Removing a rip off report?

Once you have a listing on RipOffReport you cannot get the listing taken down by the administrator. Even if the individual who submitted the article decides to delete the listing. In most cases the listing cannot be removed even if the issue has been resolved.

So what is the strategy to suppress the listing?
We are able to remove a Rip Off Report from the top pages on Google and other relevant search engines. Our strategy involves the following steps.

Level 1: As part of an Online Reputation Management campaign we develop a large list of positive listings. Those listings come in the form of micro sites, business listings, article syndications and press releases, as a way to dominate the top pages on Google and other search engines and outrank the rip off report. Most of the tim this strategy by itself is not sufficient in removing a Rip Off Report from the top on Google, Yahoo and Bing. These newly created listings need to be promoted in order to out rank and push down the rip off report.

Second Step: In about two months many of the newly created profiles are going to start to appear in the top pages on Google. Depending on the competitiveness of the top pages some of them have already surpassed the rip off report and essentially pushed the listing downward. However, In order to remove the rip off report from the first page on Google, Yahoo and Bing we improve the rankings that are below the rip off report. As soon as these URL’s over rank the rip off report we focus on a new set of positive URLs that are not yet above the rip off report until we have a clean first page.
